What is 10 x 10?

10 x 10 is a free project development workshop. We meet every month at 7pm at Gertrudes Brown Couch, 30 Gertrude St Fitzroy in Melbourne. Filmmakers can screen up to 10 minutes of their non-fiction works-in-progress and receive 10 minutes of directed feedback in a supportive environment. It's a great opportunity to see some fantastic work, and also to be a part of the Melbourne independent film community.

We present up to 4 projects at our monthly screenings. If you would like to screen please contact Benj and Gen at documentary3000@gmail.com The 10 x 10 format was created by www.doculink.org.

3000 People: Ash Anand

Hi everyone, my name's Ash; I'm a freelance journalist (specialisingin true life stories) from the UK and recently moved to Melbourne. Imade a short documentary last year, absolutely loved the wholeprocess, and am now looking for a Research/Production Assistant rolein the field. The film I made can be seen here:http://www.dfgdocs.com/Resources/Video/153.aspx and went on to win the London Short Film Festival’s award for Best Documentary of the Nightin January 2010.
I’ve been doing some film-related work since coming to Melbourne including: scriptwriting and story development for a charity who aremaking a film on cyber bullying and youth culture; concept developmentfor a 50 minute documentary that a production company here is workingon; and volunteering with the Gertrude Street Projection Festival to film in the run up to and during the festival. I’d love to get some more experience working on docos so if you’relooking for someone with my skills then please let me know!
Thanks so much,
